Lowe’s Tablet Experience

Customers voiced the need for a tablet app, so we helped Lowe’s create one—all while adhering to their design system and technology constraints.

Our goals were straightforward: leverage available screen space, use adaptable layouts for varied tablet sizes, provide utility for product information, and discover opportunities for larger product imagery.
Working within the constraints of the Lowe’s mobile app, we took a responsive approach. This allowed for easy maintenance while still providing a great user experience. Going Android first, we went broad by creating numerous layout options for high traffic landing pages, weighed the pros/cons of each layout and then identified A/B testing scenarios.
My role on this project was to design the full tablet experience (wireframes and annotations). I guided two Interaction Designers along the way, while meeting directly with a Lowe’s product manager, business analyst, and software engineers.
